31 The Saga of Snoopy on South Merritt Island the community of Georgiana on South Merritt Island live a group of very friendly people who are very neighborly. At the Frederick Kendall home is a female dog of uncertain a heritage named "HIYI." This name comes from a favorite poem of one of the Kendall's grandchildren. "Twinkle twinkle little star, how I wonder what you are," but the grandchild always said "HIYI wonder what you are" SO HIYI became the name for anything uncertain. When they acquired this dog of uncertain parentage, she immediately became "HIYI." HIYI is a very intelligent animal and soon learned to greet the Kendall's guests with a handshake. If she was not acquainted, she waited for the Colonel to introduce her.

She would let no stranger in until he was certified. One of the Kendall associates calls her "Hi-Fi" and she responds with the proper gesture. Once she knows you, you are always welcome. She never torgets a smell, nor fails to identify it. Next door lives a family with three children and a year old Dachshund named "Snoopy." The entire family and Snoopy are very friendly with the Kendalls and HIYI.

Snoopy comes every day to see HIYI and if he fails to visit, HIYI goes to see him. She guides and guards him and teaches him to play in the manner acceptable to an aging old lady and they get along beautifully except when Snoopy gets too enthusiastic and has to be chastised and sent home. This is accomplished i in no uncertain manner but does not mar nor injure the friendship. Snoopy waits at the gate for the children to come home from school and is there to greet News for Women Page 2B The Evening Tribune Dec. 27, 1967 Editor of 'America Cooks' Ann Seranne, editor of the federation more than a dozen cook books and cook book, is also editor or author of food editor of the New York Post.

She found Snoopy licked his eyes, his ears, his face, patted and nudged him, but to no avail. She finally dragged Snoopy to the shoulder of the road where she laid down beside him and talked to him in short sharp pleadings of whines and barks. HIYI waited until the children home, went to meet them and led them to Snoopy.

For better eating and greater convenience, make a supply of sandwiches ahead and freeze them until needed, says Mrs. len C. Jones, assistant County Extension Home Economics agent.

A frozen sandwich thaws slowly in the lunch bag and is less likely to spoil than a freshly made one. Almost all kinds of fresh bread freezes very well but this is not true of all fillings. The following sandwich fillings freeze well: luncheon meats, left-over sliced roast meat or poultry, dried beef, tuna, salmon, sliced cheese, cheese spreads, hard cooked egg yolks, land peanut butter. If desired, filling and spreads may be frozen separately in frozen food containers for later use. THE GREATEST PACKAGE OF ENTERTAINMENT TO EVER APPEAR IN RETURNED BY POPULAR DEMAND!
