passed in his home on July 30, 2011 from Melanoma cancer. Born March 14, 1925 in Jamestown, NY to Lillian and John Breckenridge. James graduated from Jamestown High School with the Class of 1943, served in the United States Navy from 1943 thru 1946, graduated from Cornell University with the class of 1947, and on May 1, 1958 completed all requirements of the State of New York to hold the standing of Professional Engineer. During his career, Breck held professional positions in York, PA; Bronx, NY; Buffalo, NY; and Jamestown, NY. In June 1959, he moved to Florida to take a position with the US Navy's Naval Ordnance Test Unit at Cape Canaveral.

During his time with NOTU, some of his major inputs were into the concept and construction of the Trident submarine turning basin, and the Trident II missile checkout and launch facilities (CX46). After 25 years of service, he retired in May of 1986 as the head of the Facilities and Cape Operations Division. Jim was a dedicated and loving husband and father. He was married 53 years to his late wife, Norma, and lovingly cared for her through her last years of illness and until her passing in 2007. He is survived by his three children, son, John R.

Breckenridge and his wife June of Palm Bay, FL; daughter, Stacy Beasley and her husband Charles of Marietta, GA; and daughter, Lizbeth Jeanine Ramos of Agness, OR. Known as Pi by them, he cherished his three grandchildren, Matthew Beasley of Marietta, GA; Alexander Beasley of Marietta, GA, and Atticus James Breckenridge of Palm Bay, FL. He is also survived by his two brothers, Jack V. Breckenridge of Scottsdale, AZ, and Richard A. Breckenridge of Hickory, NC.

Aside from his family and work, Jim was an accomplished artisan. His paintings, pottery, and stained glass are treasured by family, friends, and patrons. Until recently, he was an avid golfer, and in his youth was a respected baseball and basketball player. He was a man with a sly and easy humor, a quick wit, and an ability to laugh at himself. Day after day, year after year, he lived his life based on honesty, common sense, generosity, and love.

He was one of the many unknown heroes that gave much and have asked for little. He is and always will be missed. The family will hold a private memorial at a future time. Donations to the St. Jude Foundation would be welcomed.

Paul Davis Titusville Paul Ashley Davis, 67, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, August 4, 2011. Paul was born in Manhattan, New York and came to Brevard County in 1954 from Long Island. Paul served in the Army and was a veteran of the Naval Reserves. Paul was the Chief building official for the City of Titusville and a building inspector for Brevard County for the past 15 years. Paul is survived by his wife of 37 years, Debbie Davis; his daughter, Jennifer Davis of Vero Beach, FL; his grandchildren, Jocelyn, Geoffrey, Tavian, Taylor and Sydney; his mother, Jacqueline D.

Reid of Melbourne; his brother, John Tyler Davis of North Carolina; and his sister, Victoria Reid Zelazny of Melbourne. He was greatly loved by his family at Walkabout Ministries and Park Avenue Baptist Church. Santa Rosa, CA Baker, Ewell Henry, Jr. aka died suddenly while on a fishing trip to Alaska on July 28, 2011. Born in Santa Rosa on March 4, 1933, he was the only son of Ewell "Wild Hog" Baker, Sr. and Dorothy Busse. He graduated from Santa Rosa High School and the SRJC.

He served in the National Guard, was active in the Club, and a Boy Scout leader. He married Connie Williams and had five children. He owned Empire Plumbing, Kaiser Sports and various other businesses. He was Past President of the Builders Exchange and a member of Sonoma County Trailblazers. A hard worker all his life, Ewell's escape was his love of hunting, fishing and the outdoors.

In 1976, he married Virginia Cooper Gates and retired to the beautiful Marble Trinity Alps area of Siskiyou County, Callahan. There he raised a few cattle and Virginia's daughters, Jennifer and Erica. He continued in community service, volunteering as a fireman and building a much needed new firehouse in Callahan. He single handedly updated the city of Callahan's deteriorated water system. Iola Mary Wissore Cocoa Former Cocoa resident, lola Mary Wissore, 91, died on Saturday, July 23, 2011 in Redbud, Illinois.

A memorial service is planned for August 14, 2011 at 2:00 PM at Rockledge Presbyterian Church. Iola was born on December 6, 1919 in St. Louis, Missouri to Bert and Gladys Lee. She grew up and attended school in Wellston, Missouri and on May 2, 1942 married her high school sweetheart, Thornton W. (Bill) Wissore, who predeceased her on October 20, 1989 following 47 years of marriage.

She was an active member of Rockledge Presbyterian Church for many years and served as an Darlene Olson Cape Canaveral Darlene Olson, 54, passed away on August 4, 2011. Darlene was born in Warwick, Rhode Island on April 1, 1957; she was the daughter of her predeceased father Norman Ledoux and her late mother Rachel Petracca. Darlene graduated from Tollgate High School in Rhode Island. Married in 1981 to Thomas Olson of Kissimmee, FL. Darlene had a huge love for her family, friends and bingo.

She was a proud member of the Merritt Island Elks Lodge 2650. Darlene is survived by her son, Kevin Olson; daughter, Diana Olson; brother, Mark Ledoux; and ex-husband, Thomas Olson. Darlene will be missed dearly by all who loved her. Arrangements have been entrusted to Beckman-Williamson Funeral Home, 101 N. Brevard Avenue, Cocoa Beach, Florida 32931.

Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, August 13, 2011 at 10:30 am, at Our Savior Church in Cape Canaveral, FL, followed by a Celebration of Life at the Merritt Island Elks Lodge 2650, 1520 Sykes Creek Merritt Island, FL. He is survived by his beloved wife, Virginia; children, Brian Baker and wife Valerie, Pamela Reed and husband Mooka, Lisa Malapit and husband Magdalino, Melinda Baily and husband Mark, Brad Baker and wife Hermine, Jennifer Bradley, and Erica Pittman-Gaynor and husband Dan; sisters, Evelyn Townsend and Lorraine Canevari; fourteen grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews several grand nieces and nephews. This "Bigger than Life" man has left a huge hole in many lives. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed. Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life Service on Saturday, August 13, 2011 at 3:00 P.M. at the Center for Spiritual Living, 2075 Occidental Santa Rosa.

Alice Tomme Melbourne Alice McCluskey Tomme, 78, passed away Thursday, August 4, 2011. Alice was born in LaGrange, GA. After raising her family and working in Atlanta for Georgia Power Company years, she retired to Melbourne. She was active in many civic and charitable organizations in both Atlanta and Melbourne.

She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Albert Jackson Tomme of Melbourne, FL; son, Michael Tomme (Cilla) of McDonough, GA; daughter, Donna Hohlbaugh of Tampa, FL; daughter, Gayle Murtha (Robert) of McDonough, GA; daughter, Tracey Patterson of McDonough, GA; seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren. John Arthur Myers Satellite Beach John Arthur Myers 88, of Satellite Beach, formerly of Annapolis, MD passed away, Monday, July 25, 2011.

Buck was born May 27, 1923 in Annapolis, MD to the late Harvey Fenton and Myrtle Carr Myers. Besides his parents, Buck was predeceased by his daughter, Gale C. Gregson; a son, John Arthur Myers, and his siblings, Fenton Myers, Ivyl V. Rowland, and Shirley A. Myers.

On December 26, 1942 Buck married June L. Middleton. Buck served in the Army during WWII, where he was stationed in Panama. He then went to work for Potts and Callahan Construction for a number of years. Buck retired from Nationwide Insurance in 1981.

As a family, the Myers' traveled around in their Holiday Rambler, and were members of the Maryland Travel Club and founding members of the Annapolis Crabtowners Trailer Club. He was an active member of the Annapolis Elks Lodge and the Melbourne Elks Lodge, where he was a life member. Buck is survived by his wife, June L. Myers of Satellite Beach, FL; grandsons, Marc T. Gregson and his wife Nicole of Glen Burnie, MD, John A.

Myers, Ill and his wife, Caroline of Charlotte, NC and son-in-law, Milt Gregson of Annapolis, MD; great-grandfather of John, Grace, and Mary Amelia Myers. He is also survived by his sisters, Irene E. White of Annapolis, MD, Myrtle M. Rausch of Owings, MD, Beverly L. Ames of Annapolis, MD, Joan C.
