FRANCES OLEJARSKI INDIAN HARBOUR BEACH www.beachfuneralhome.com Frances Olejarski, 72, a retired secretary for the American Heart Association, died Friday, March 10, 2006, at Holmes Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Olejarski, born Frances Theresa Scully on August 23, 1933 in Bayonne, NJ, moved to Florida on August 31, 1981 from Staten Island, NY.

Frances was a member of the Space Coast chapter of American Ex-POW's since her deceased husband, Zigmund, was a POW in World War II. She also was a member of the Women's Guild of Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church, which she attended until her death. Frances is survived by her sons, Walter Olejarski of Melbourne and Michael Olejarski of North Merritt Island, and daughters, Annemarie Graham of Satellite Beach and Eileen Olejarski of Indian Harbour Beach. Eileen was Frances' caregiver for many years. Frances is also survived by her brother, Jerome Scully of Staten Island; sisters, Anna Neve of Melbourne and Kathleen Composto of Elmira, NY; and six grandchildren, Krista, Ashley, Lindsey, Charline, Andy and Ben.

Calling hours are 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, March 13th at Beach Funeral Home in Indian Harbour Beach, with a wake service at 7 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, March 14th at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church, followed by a repast in the Church Community Room.

Condolences may be sent to www.beachfuneralhome.com JOHN HARNISH MELBOURNE John Howell Harnish, 77, better known as "Jack" to family and friends, went to his Heavenly Father after passing away peacefully on Friday, March 10, 2006 with his family at his side. Jack was born in Snow Shoe, Pennsylvania on June 28, 1928 and was of the Presbyterian faith.

He served in the United States Merchant Marines, United States Army and was a veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Rotary Club, Elks, F.O.P., Key West Chamber of Commerce, Democratic Committee of Monroe County and cheerful supporter of many charitable organizations. Jack retired to Brevard County in 1980 from Key West, Florida. He was a self-employed businessman with ventures in Key West, Melbourne, FL and Colorado. Jack was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed boating and hunting and touched everybody with his sense of humor, quick wit and wisdom.

He was instrumental in the Lake Washington Recreation Park that the community enjoys today. Jack is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Carolyn; devoted children, Donna Gale Harnish of Melbourne Robert (Nina) Howell Harnish of St. Cloud; grandchildren, Ricardo Jonathan Ibarria and Matthew James Ibarria of Melbourne, Brandy Lynn Farr of Tampa, Adriane Kermani, Jaclyn Kermani and Tari Kermani, all of Palm Bay and Jack Fitts. He was preceded in death by his parents, Blodwyn Howell and Merrill George Harnish of Snow Show, PA; son, Jack Alan Harnish; brothers, Stacey Howell Harnish of Melbourne and James Merrill Harnish of Winter Haven; and sisters, Patricia Mayes of Williamsport, PA and Audrey Gingrich of King of Prussia, PA. Services celebrating his life will be held Monday, March 13th, with Rev.

81, passed away on Thursday, March 9, 2006 at Cape Canaveral Hospital. Mr. Vickers was born in Waukegan, Illinois; he served in the United States Marine Corps during World War II. He was a retired member of Local 150 International Union of Operating Engineers and a member of the Cocoa Elk's Lodge 1532; he has lived in Brevard County since 1988. His survivors include his daughter, Christine Fassbinder of Antioch, IL; his grandson, Greg Fassbinder and his wife Stephanie; his granddaughter, Rebecca Truman and her husband Chris; his great-grandchildren, Brandon Fassbinder, Brittany Wilcoxson, Destiny Schmidt, Ilyas Fassbinder, and Blair Whitley.

Love, Your Family GEORGE MARSHALL VALKARIA George William Marshall passed away on Friday, March 10, 2006. He was born in a small house on the banks of the Indian River in Malabar, Florida on June 28, 1928, to Lillian and J.W. Marshall, Malabar pioneers. He served with the Merchant Marines on the Great Lakes for two years, but soon returned to Malabar to help his father run the family's saw mill operation and to marry the love of his life, Margaret, "Peggy" Lindh. George worked in the construction industry and helped build some of the first space launch facilities at Cape Canaveral in the early 1960's.

He worked for the Boeing Company for seven years during the Apollo program, then returned to the construction industry, where he became a superintendent for several large construction firms before starting his own contracting business. He was a master woodworker and crafted many pieces of fine furniture for his family that have become cherished heirlooms. He loved the outdoors, hunting and fishing with his sons, and attending the many and varied sporting events of his children and grandchildren. He is survived by his beloved wife Peggy; daughter, Nancy Marshall; sons, Kenneth and wife Carole, Timothy and wife Jacque, Christopher and wife Cammie; grandsons, Adam and Andrew Marshall; twin granddaughters, Maggi a and Lilli Marshall; granddaughters, Leann Chong and Georgine Mikalsen; great grandchildren, Reid, Erin and Kate Mikalsen; sister Evelyn Fraley; sister-inlaw, Lorraine Marshall; and many nieces and nephews. Brownlie-Maxwell Funeral Home in Melbourne is serving the family. MUSETTE HARING ROCKLEDGE Musette Haring, 86, passed away Monday, March 6, 2006. She was born in New Jersey and grew up in Batavia, NY. She also lived in Florida, California and Colorado. She returned to Florida, which she loved, in 1984 to care for her elderly parents.

Her hobbies included cooking, creative writing, painting and various crafts. She also enjoyed doing volunteer work. In Rockledge, she worked at Campbell's Drugs for many years. She is remembered for her sunny disposition and positive outlook on life. She retained these qualities, as well as her graciousness and dignity, until her last day.

She was also kind, witty, and always willing to lend an ear. Musette is survived by five children, Wendy, Donna, David, April and Brian; ten grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her "adopted" family here in Rockledge. She is the beloved Grandma of Ayasia, Everton and Rachel. Musette wished to thank everyone who spent time with her in the hospital during her final days.

It meant so much to her. We will miss this dear woman. A Celebration of her life will be held at Rockledge Presbyterian Church on Friday, March 17th, at 6 p.m., followed by a reception. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Brevard Hospice, P.O. Box 565002, Rockledge, FL 32956.

GADSBY MELBOURNE Today there is only one set of footprints in the sand. God has carried a warrior home. Thomas R. Gadsby Ill peacefully crossed over into God's hands on Friday, March 3, 2006, with his wife, Catherine, by his side, at their home. Thomas was born July 21, 1924 in Philadelphia, PA and was a Brevard County resident since 1989.

Thomas was an avid ham operator and builder of ham equipment since he was young enough to operate a radio with his dad. He will miss his ham buddies but will always be on their frequencies. Thomas was also an accomplished painter with his favorite subject of tall ships. Thomas enlisted into the Army Air Corps on December 8, 1942 and served his country during World War II in the Northern France, Central Europe campaigns. He was honorably discharged from the Army of the United States at McGuire General Hospital in Richmond, Virginia on November 8, 1945 due to permanent battle wounds.

He was awarded the EAME Theatre Ribbon with two Bronze Stars as well as the Good Conduct Ribbon. A label button was issued on November 8, 1945. Thomas was a member of over 40 years and Past Master to the Hiram Lodge Chestnut Hill, Philadelphia, PA. and an active member of the Suntree Methodist Church of Suntree, FL. Thomas was also one of the original founders dedicated to the conception and final establishment of the Library.

Thomas is survived by his loving wife, Catherine; and his extended family of Candy and Don Graves, step-daughter from West Melbourne, FL; Carl and Cindy Dilks, step-son from The Villages, FL; Deanna Morris, step-granddaughter and step-great-grandsons, Jack and Ben Morris from Danbury, CT; Tammy Stellato, step granddaughter and step great-granddaughter, Kimberly Stellato and step great Nicholas Stellato from Longmeadow, MA. Thomas' family a also included from the past, Buffalo Bill Cody and sisters, Allie and May Cody. A memorial service to honor Tom's life will be held at the Suntree Methodist Church on March 15th, at 11 a.m. Military honors and a Masonic ceremony will be held in his honor. The family would like to extend an abundance of "Thanks" to both VITAS Hospice's caring and loving staff and Suntree Methodist parishioners and dedicated ministers.

Mrs.

Spark was born in Brooklyn, New York and has lived in Brevard County since 1975. She was the former owner of the Silver Fox in Cocoa Beach. She is survived by her son, Lenny Mangiameli of San Jose, CA; her daughter, Janet Austin of Melbourne; her grandchildren, Lisa Romesburg of Mission Viejo, CA, Deanne Carlson of Palos Verde, CA, Anthony Mangiameli of San Jose, CA; seven great-grandchildren and her nephew, Charlie Cosci of New York. 18, 1930 March 12, 2004 You will be in my heart forever, You are my soulmate. I miss you and will love you always THOMAS LEWIS, Jr. MERRITT ISLAND Thomas R. Lewis, Jr. went to his Heavenly Father on Wednesday, March 8, 2006, after a 58 year battle with diabetes.

Born June 7, 1934 in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, Tom graduated from Florida State University. He worked in the space industry for RCA and later worked for DBA Systems until his retirement in 1995. His unique programming skills were internationally known, especially when one of them was responsible for retrieving a longlost satellite. Tom was a Charter Member of Satellite Beach United Methodist Church, where he headed numerous committees and was an active participant in the total life of the church. He was an avid traveler and photographer, and his travel journals were used as reference material by friends and fellow travelers.

He was a frequent church soloist and enjoyed gardening, bridge, and reading. Son of the late Dr. and Mrs. Thomas R. Lewis of Tallahassee, Tom is survived by his devoted wife of 45 years, Jewell.

Other survivors include his son, Thomas R. Lewis, Ill (Paige) of Phoenix, Arizona; daughter, Anita Erb (David) of Boaz, Alabama; grandsons, Connor and Garrett Lewis; sister, Barbara Payne of Winter Haven, Florida; several nieces and nephews; and many steadfast friends including classmates Paul Sayer and Dan Botwell from Leon High School. Services celebrating his life will be Sunday, March 12th, at 2 p.m., at United Methodist Church of Satellite Beach, followed by a reception in the Church Hall. The family requests no flowers, but would appreciate contributions to the Juvenile Diabetes Association, Wuesthoff Brevard Hospice, or The Tree of Life at Satellite Beach Methodist Church. Arrangements are entrusted to Beach Funeral Home East Chapel in Indian Harbour Beach.

ANDREW MILLICAN PALM BAY Andrew "Larry" Millican, 87, former resident of the Great Outdoors in Titusville, Florida, made his transition from physical to spiritual on Wednesday, March 8, 2006 in the Palm Bay, Florida home of his son, Robert Cox. Born in Dallas, Texas, Larry settled in Bakersfield, CA after World War II military service. Larry and wife, Ruth, were long time residents of California; however, eventually made their way to Florida, first settling in Ft. Myers and later transitioning to Titusville. Larry loved to travel and enjoyed meeting and entertaining old and new friends.

He never met a stranger and was always active in a variety of church activities and projects throughout his life. Larry was a devoted and most loving husband to his wife, and a committed and caring father, grandfather, greatgrandfather, and great-great grandfather. Larry is survived by wife, Ruth, of Palm Bay, FL; son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Debra Cox of Palm Bay, FL; daughter and son-in law, Donna and Jim Carter of Bakersfield, CA. Larry's son, Larry Alan Millican, predeceased him. Larry is also survived by grandchildren, Jimmy and Johnny Carter, and Sherri Castle of Bakersfield, CA, Bekki Mikki Rohrman of Canton, TX; Marsiglia of Long Beach, a CA, Rebecca Overduyn of West Haven, UT; great-grandchildren Kandice, Lyndsey and Mellissa Castle of Bakersfield, CA; Morgan and Jamie Marsiglia of Long Beach, CA, Taylor Rohrman and Kara Otte of Canton, TX, Robert and Payton Ruggles of West Haven, UT; great-great grandson, Sven Rodriguez of Bakersfield, CA.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., on Tuesday, March 14, 2006 at the Great Outdoors Church, Titusville, FL, with visitation from 1 p.m. until the time of the service. ELIZABETH ARMISTEAD ROCKLEDGE Elizabeth "Betty" Jameson Armistead died Sunday, March 5, 2006 in Richmond, Virginia after a brief battle with cancer.

She was 82. Ms. Armistead was a much beloved member of the community and will be remembered for her tenacious personality and her many contributions to women's rights. Ms. Armistead was born on May 23, 1923 to Elizabeth and Robert Jameson of Boston, Massachusetts.

Following the death of her father when she was four months old, Ms. Armistead moved to Florida with her mother. She resided on Merritt Island with her maternal grandparents, Otto and Elizabeth Grosse. As a child she learned to play tennis while attending summer camp and thus began her lifelong love of the game. She graduated from Cocoa High in 1941.

Ms. Armistead earned a B.S. in Medical Technology from the Richmond Professional Institute of the College of William and Mary in 1945, graduating as her class president. She served as a physical therapist with the U.S. Army from 1945 to 1948.

She often commented that working with injured servicemen was one of the most rewarding things she did in her life. After her military service she married James Armistead and they had two daughters, Kathryn and Charlotte. In 1964 and 1965, after her first battle with cancer, she was awarded the American Cancer Society's Victory Crusade Award for record breaking fundraising efforts. In 1969 she earned a Masters in History from Rollins College in Winter Park. Ms.

Armistead was active in politics and was a fearless advocate for the rights of women. In 1967 she was the first Florida woman to join the National Organization of Women and was elected to the Rockledge Election Committee. Between 1968 and 1979 she was appointed to the following offices where she served with the goal of improving the status of women: Governor's Education Committee; Governor's Commission on the Status of Women; Southeast Regional Manpower Advisory Committee of the U.S. Dept of Labor; and the Brevard County Commission on the Status of Women. Ms.

Armistead worked for Merrill Lynch as a financial consultant until her retirement in 1990. Betty then embarked on a second career as an avid bridge player, a tireless supporter of the Space Coast Pops, and a devoted grandmother. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Ms. Armistead is survived by her daughter, Charlotte deVere Ott; granddaughter, Chloebeth, and son-in-law James of Richmond, Virginia.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Kathryn E. Armistead. The family wishes to thank the members of St. Mark's Episcopal Church and the many friends of Ms. Armistead for their support during this difficult time.

A memorial service will be held at a later date due to an illness in the family. DOLLY HOLLINGSWORTH MIMS Dolly D. Hollingsworth went home to be with the Lord on her 92nd birthday on Thursday, March 9, 2006. Mrs. Hollingsworth was born in Lafollette, TN, and grew up in Virginia and West Virginia.

She moved to Florida in 1962 and was employed at the original Jess Parrish Hospital for many years as an emergency room nurse. Dolly was a long time member of Temple Baptist Church in Titusville. She is survived by her sons, Ted (Suzie) and John Hollingsworth; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, March 14, 2006 at North Brevard Funeral Home, Titusville, FL, with burial to follow at Brevard Memorial Park, Cocoa, FL. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 pm Monday, March 13, 2006 at North Brevard.
