She came to Brevard County in 1956 from Jacksonville. She was a member of Merritt Island Chamber of Commerce and North Merritt Island Volunteer Fire Department. Survivors include her husband, Al 1 Cirack of Mims; son, Charles Cirack of Sanderson; daughters, Kathy De Moss and Shirley Jones, both of Mims, and Mary Kimbrell of Winter Haven; seven grandchildren; and two greatgrandchildren. No calling hours are scheduled. Memorial services will be later.

Titusville Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. DALE FENDRICK ST. JOHN Dale Fendrick, 74, a retired government employee, died Sunday, May 24, at home. Mr. Fendrick was born in Newton, Kan.

He came to Brevard County in 1970 from Pennsylvania. He was a 21-year Navy veteran and served on the Saratoga during World War II. He made chief petty officer at the age of 21, the youngest chief petty officer ever. was a recipient of the Good Conduct Medal, American Defense Service Medal, American Campaign Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal, European African Middle Eastern Campaign Medal, World War II Victory Medal, Navy Occupation Medal and the National Defense Service Medal. Survivors include his companion, Evelyn Ott of Port St.

John; wife, Dorothy Fendrick of Cocoa Beach; daughters, Karol Bobb of West Chester, and Robin Baugher of Cocoa Beach; sister, Ollie Peterson of Lincoln, six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. No calling hours are scheduled. Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Brevard Memorial Funeral Home in Frontenac. RONALD FISHER WEST MELBOURNE Ronald E.

Fisher, 68, a former liquor store owner, died Sunday, May 24, at Holmes Regional Medical Center in Melbourne. Mr. Fisher was born in Shamokin, Pa. He came to Brevard County in 1990 from Pleasant Valley, N.Y. He was a member of Pleasant, Valley Horseback Riding Club, Pleasant Valley Elks Club, Moose Lodge in West Melbourne and Freedom Christian Church in Suntree.

Survivors include his wife, Marie of West Melbourne; son, Stephen of Worminster, daughters, Beverly of Brunswick, and Vickie of Anchorage, Alaska; brother, Paul of Danville, three grandchildren; and one great granddaughter. OWENS John "Randy" Owens, age 46, of Cypress, Texas, went to be with his Lord on Friday, May 8, 1998.

He was born February 25, 1952 in Phelps, Kentucky and moved with his family at an early age to Cocoa. Florida. He graduated from Cocoa High School in 1970 and then enrolled in the United States Army where he proudly served for 22 years until retirement. He currently worked for Compaq Computers in Texas. A proud family man, forever loved, he is survived by his wife, Barbara; sons, Robert and Shawn; daughter, Katherine, all of Texas; sisters, Chiri Kilday and Mickie Owens of Melbourne; and parents.

Charles and Donna Owens of Cocoa, Florida. He was a member of the Episcopal Church. Interment was in the Houston VA National Cemetery. MELBOURNE Florence E. Guyre, 84, a retired registered nurse, died Sunday, May 24, at home.

Mrs. Guyre was born in Henderson, Minn. She came to Brevard County in 1976 from Lindenhurst, N.Y. She was an Army veteran of World War II. Mrs.

Guyre was Episcopalian. Survivors include her son, Timothy Guyre of Rockledge; daughters, Paulette GuyreLaConte of Lake Shawnee, N.J., Jenise Guyre-Anderson of Her, St. York City; sister, and Marie Otto Paul, seven grandchildren. MARGUERITE HOOPER PORT ST. JOHN Marguerite Hooper, 91, a retired collector for the Massachusetts Transit Authority, died Monday, May 25, at home.

Mrs. Hooper was born in Boston. She came to Brevard County in 1990 from Clearwater. She was a member of St. Teresa Catholic Church in Titusville.

Survivors include her son, Paul Dyer of Covington, daughter, Patricia Coleman of Port St. John; sister, Helen Wenners of West Roxbury, brother, William O'Brien of Melrose, nine grandchildren; and six greatgrandchildren. No calling hours are scheduled. Services are at 10:30 a.m. today at St.

Mr. Johnson was born in Rhode Island. He came to Brevard County in 1978 from West Warwick, R.I. He was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church in Palm Bay. Survivors include his wife, Marie Johnson of Palm Bay; son, Korey Johnson of Winter Springs; daughter, Nicole Johnson of Palm Bay; parents, Ralph and Mary Johnson West Warwick; and sister, Edna Ferrari of Coventry, R.I.

No calling hours are scheduled. Services will be later in Rhode Island. South Brevard Funeral Home in Melbourne is in charge of arrangements. KNOWLTON KENNEDY MELBOURNE Knowlton K. "Bud" Kennedy, 71, a retired mail supervisor for Harris died Monday, May 25, at Arbors at Melbourne.

Mr. Kennedy was born in Hopkins. was lifelong resident of Brevard County. He was an Army veteran of World War II. Mr.

Kennedy was a member of Covenant Presbyterian Church and Indian River Radio Control Club. Survivors include his daughters, Janna Hyten of Brooklyn, N.Y., Jennifer Fitch of Melbourne and Julie Wilkinson of Palm Bay; sisters, Dixie Beyers of Palm Bay and Nella Mathew of Davenport; brother, Harold Kennedy Jr. of Bradenton; and three grandchildren. Monday at Brownlie and Maxwell Funeral Home in Melbourne. Burial will be at Melbourne Cemetery. WILLIAM LANGSTON Sr. PORT ST. JOHN William "Bill" Langston 71, a retired truck driver, died Thursday, May 21, at Harborside Health Care of Brevard in Rockledge.

Mr. Langston was born in DEATH NOTICE ELIZABETH M. PADGETT Elizabeth M. Padgett, age 84, of Spring Hill, Florida, died on April 16, 1998 at Evergreen Woods Nursing Home, after a long illness. Mrs.

Padgett was born in Moriah, New York. the daughter of William F. and Lena Mayo. She graduated from Potsdam Normal State Teachers College and first taught elementary school in upstate New York. She married W.

Clark Padgett and lived in Hillsdale, New Jersey where she taught for many years at the Haworth Elementary School. She retired and lived in Melbourne and later Spring Hill, Florida. She was a member of the Grace Presbyterian Church in Spring Hill, Florida. Her husband. Clark, died in 1991.

She is survived by her daughter, Jane Kinney of Hohenwald. Tennessee: her son, William C. Padgett of Erieville. New York: a sister, Ester McCormick of Downey, California; and four grandchildren. A Memorial Service at the Edward Methodist Church in Edwards, New York, is planned for June 20, 1998 at 1:00 p.m.

An Army veteran, he served in World War II and the Korean War. Grimes, of Indialantic, Florida, age 74, died Saturday, May 23, 1998 at Holmes Regional Nursing Center. Melbourne, Florida. Mrs.

Grimes was born in Clairton, Pennsylvania, she came to Brevard County in 1978. She was also a long time summer resident of Petersburg, Virginia. She attended schools in Pennsylvania, and during World War Il was in charge of the rationing stamps for the greater Pittsburgh area. During her life she lived in many places including: Paris, France, Germany, Washington, DC, and Virginia. She was quite active as a board member and president of the Villager Condominium Association in Indialantic.

She also was a member of the Eau Gallie Yacht Club and the Country Club of Petersburg, Virginia. Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Retired Army Lieutenant Colonel George E. Grimes, a loving son, George B. Grimes of Tampa, Florida, and a brother, Gene Balombini of Guys Mills, Pennsylvania. No calling hours are scheduled, a memorial service will be Saturday, May 30, 1998, 5:30 p.m.

O'Donnell was born in Pittsfield, Mass. She came to Brevard County in 1989. She was a Navy veteran of the Korean War. Mrs. O'Donnell was a member of St.

Mary Catholic Church in Rockledge. Survivors include her husband, John O'Donnell of Rockledge; sons, Michael O'Donnell of Silverdale, James O'Donnell of Scotia, N.Y., and Kevin O'Donnell of Ballston Spa, N.Y.: daughters, Kathleen DEATH NOTICE CARL ASHBY CHINA Carl A. China, 66. a retired aeronautical engineer with NASA, died April 30, 1998 at his home. Mr.

China was born in Jacksonville. Florida and graduated from Jacksonville Junior College (now Jacksonville University). He served in the Air Force for fifteen years and held the rank of Captain. He graduated from the Air Force Institute of Technology at Wright Field in Dayton, Ohio. He also held a Master's Degree from Central Michigan University in Community Administration.

Mr. China worked at the Flight Dynamics Laboratory at Wright Field and was the principal investigator for the Air Force on a Hypersonic Cruise Vehicle. He held the rank of Major in the Air Force Reserve Retired. After leaving the Air Force, Mr. China continued working at Wright Field in Civil Service.

He lead the Independent Research and Development (IR D) team to on-site monitoring visits to major contractors. Before leaving Wright Field for NASA in 1981, he was an acting Branch Chief. In addition to his full time job. Mr. China was elected to the Council in Riverside, Ohio in 1971.

He served in several capacities over the next ten years, including Mayor Pro-Team and Judge. He was Riverside's representative to the Miami Valley Regional Planning Commission, which comprised five counties and served an area of over one million people. He was Chairman of the Referral Committee and Vice Chairman, and in 1975, became Chairman of the Commission. He served in this post for over two years. Mr.

China designed and built model airplanes and flew competition speed planes nationally. He was a member of the Air Force Worldwide Team to the National Model Airplane Championships and competed in the Air Force Worldwide and Nationals several times. He has an original design proto speed plane on display at the National Air and Space Museum of the Smithsonian Institution. His airplane is pictured and featured in the book, "On Miniature Wings: Model Aircraft of the National Air and Space Museum." Thomas Obenauer, 69, a retired Methodist minister, died Sunday, May 24, at Parrish Medical Center. Mr. Obenauer was born in Buffalo, N.Y. He came to Brevard County in 1984. He was employed by the United Methodist Church Florida Conference for more than 20 years.

Survivors include his caregiver, Nita Mitchell of Titusville; sons, David Obenauer of Villa Rica, and Donald Obenauer of Atlanta; daughter, Denise Obenauer-Kohnke of Pittsburgh; and three grandchildren. Jeanne was born July 23, 1928, in Sommerville, Mass.

to Nora and Edward Twohig. She graduated from Boston University with B.S. in Journalism. She taught school in Boston and Miami. Jeanne was also a flight attendant for Eastern Air Lines.

She married Captain Gene Sullivan. a pilot for Eastern, in 1952. Jeanne devoted her life to her family and children. She was very active and volunteered tirelessly and was a leader in many organizations, including a term as President of the local chapter the Eastern Air Lines Retirees Association. She was also a founding member of the Eastern Air Lines Silverliners.

a charter member of the International Stewardess Association. held offices within the Coral Gables Country Club and was a founding member of the Suntree Country Club. She is survived by her loving husband Eugene and children and their families. Patricia Sullivan and Merryl Mix of Portland. Oregon, Michael and Sandy Sullivan of Gurnee, Illinois and Christopher and Kim Sullivan of Gurnee, Illinois.

Her grandchildren to whom she was devoted to are Jennifer and Shawn, children of Christopher: and Michael Nicole and Tony, children of Michael. She also is survived by her brother, Edward L. Twohig. Jr. of Sandwich, Mass.

and his wife Colette, nieces. Susan and Janet and nephew, Edward Ill: and her sister. Dorothea, her husband Bob and niece, Ellen Candella of Cohassett. Mass. There was a memorial mass held at Ascension Catholic Community on Saturday, May 23 at There will also be a memorial mass held in Coral Gables, FL and Cape Cod, MA later this summer for the multitude of Jeanne's friends and family in those areas.
